Este video muestra diferentes variaciones de ritmos de "Songo" con Cowbell, Caja (Snare), Bombo (BassDrum), hihat. 1ª línea Mano Derecha toca la Cáscara "E" en cowbell 2ª línea Mano Izquierda toca en Caja (Snare) con variaciones 3ª línea Bombo toca "Tumbao" y algunas combinaciones con caja Hihat en la 1ª y 3ª Negra del compás.
Comentario: Ahora voy a tocar diferentes variaciones de un ritmo llamado songo. Es un ritmo que combina diferentes aspectos de la música afrocubana. Si queréis profundizar más, os aconsejo mi vídeo Mastering the art of Afrocuban music. Así que ahora voy a tocar el ritmo de diferentes maneras y teniendo en cuenta un estilo algo más actual. Commentary: Now, i'm going to play different variations of the rhythm called songo. This is a rhythm that combines differents aspects of afrocuban music. Commentary: Now, I'm going to play a few patterns from the AfroCuban tradition coming from the Yoruba religion. This patterns are also known as Afro or 6/8, so here we go with the first one. One, two, three, four....

Demo Rumba - 3011 (Español / English)
Este vídeo consta de una demostración de la aplicación de la Rumba Cubana con Cowbell, Caja (Snare), Bombo (Bass Drum), hihat e introducción de los Toms en el patrón. 1ª línea: Mano Izquierda toca Clave en Floor-Tom y Cowbell. 2ª línea: Mano Derecha toca en Caja (Snare) y variaciones en los Toms. 3ª línea: Bombo toca la 2ª Corchea del 2º tiempo. Hihat a Negras.
Comentario: Ahora os explicaré cómo aplicar la clave de rumba en toda la batería. Hay diferentes maneras y depende mucho del estilo del baterista. Yo tocaré la clave con el canto del goliat y, llegados a un punto, voy a trasladarla al cencerro. A los que os guste llevar la clave con el pie izquierdo, lo podéis hacer perfectamente a la vez que lleváis la cáscara con la mano derecha. Yo no lo haré porque no es el estilo que a mí más me gusta. En este video Ignacio Berroa muestra como trabajar en grupo un patrón de "Rock" y la aplicación de la Clave de Rumba (3/2) en el mismo. En este caso con dos grandes músicos españoles: Max Suñer y Carlos Benavent. 1ª línea Mano Derecha toca todas las Corcheas en Hihat abierto y cuando aplica la Clave toca en Cowbell 2ª línea Mano Izquierda toca la 2ª y la 4ª Negra en Caja (Snare) 3ª línea Bombo toca una Negra en el 1º tiempo y dos Corcheas en el 3º tiempo Hihat opcional a negras.
Comentario: Un ritmo de rock añadiendo la clave de rumba. Un, dos, tres, cuatro...

Un, dos, tres, cuatro... Ahora, el mismo ritmo acompañado de dos grandes músicos: Carles Benavent y Max Sunyer.
